Well of Indigenous Wisdom School is a school for clinical herbal medicine studies. It is an international school formerly based (and still holding retreats) in Puerto Rico. We are now based in Kenya. The school is primarily an afro-indigenous school, teaching principles of plants and healing systems from the indigenous world. Our in person and mentorship programs are located in the beautiful lands of East Africa. Our entire program online and in person, is open to anyone that is interested in committing to the path of indigenous healing and care-taking of the earth. Our graduates represent the healthcare community as clinical herbalists, educators, community healers and herbal entrepreneurs. WOIW is known to be an advanced herbal program for mature minded individuals ready to embark on the course of healing and plant medicine. It is well received by those who have already taken herbal courses and want to delve deeper into their understanding of clinical principles and herbal healing modalities as well as spiritualism. The program consists of lectures, independent studies and one-on-one guidance. It is designed to prompt the learner to understand indigenous education styles. Our most enjoyable learning time is during our in person learnings. Our herbal retreats are immersed in plant identification, preparation and healing modalities, and our mentorship focuses on professional enhancement; building confidence and clinical practice skills.
