Looking for herbal education that blends science and spirit, practical and profound, with a hearty dose of social justice and environmental stewardship?
Our Sacred Gaian Herbalism Apprenticeships are for folks of all learning styles, experience levels, and walks of life. As Herbkin—our inclusive term for all who are drawn together through mutual love of the healing plants—we pride ourselves on co-creating a vibrant and welcoming learning community. Join us for a day, a semester, or the full 3-year program.
Through exploring bioregional plant spirit medicine, deep ecology, and diverse healing traditions from around the world and across time, this program encourages you to develop your own authentic relationship with plant-based medicine, without appropriation or spiritual bypassing.
Through study, ritual, research, hands-on medicine making, and tending our school apothecary gardens and United Plant Savers Botanical Sanctuary, we learn to embody herbalism in ways that support us as individuals and as inhabitants of a quickly changing world—safely, effectively, and wisely.
With virtual and in-person semesters, multiple tiers of participation to choose from, sliding scale tuition, and scholarships for BIPOC and Trans/2S students, these interactive courses will teach you far more than just how to use plants as medicine—this is herbalism for body, mind, and spirit; ancestors and descendants; family, community, ecosystems, and planet. Herbalism is your birthright—claim it!
