The Actaea Institute of Herbal Medicine & Aromatherapy is co-directed by AC Stauble-Hill and Gabriel Mojay.

AC brings to the school her experience as an herbalist, herb farmer, product-maker, educator and podcaster. From Cohosh Creek Farm in NY State, she grows numerous varieties of herbs, fruits, trees & fungi – and under TravelingHerbFarmer.com retails small-batch, hand-made herbal remedies. Together with her partner Isaac Alexander Hill, she co-hosts the popular Plant Cunning Podcast, available on YouTube & Spotify.

Gabriel brings 4 decades of experience in the UK & US as a practitioner & teacher of clinical aromatherapy, herbal medicine, acupuncture, and an approach to bodywork using essential oils: Aromatic Acupressure. He specializes is aromatic herbalism and the safe herbal use of essential oils plus an holistic focus on plant chemistry and its synergistic pharmacology. His book, Aromatherapy for Healing the Spirit, reflects his passion for plant symbolism.

Our Integrated Diploma Course in Herbal Medicine & Aromatherapy is a ‘hybrid’ program combining an in-person Part One 9-day Summer School at the Bark Eater Inn retreat center, NY with an on-line Part Two 9-month ‘Sunday School’ series of 35 live & recorded Zoom 3-hour webinars with AC & Gabriel.

Our program is unique in combining in one live course the skills and knowledge required for forging or further developing clinical herbalism & aromatherapy as a professional practice, product-making or retail business.
