Call for Submissions - JAHG Fall 2022

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 27, 2022

Calling all herbalists! We are seeking submissions for the Fall 2022 issue of the Journal of the American Herbalist Guild.  We invite authors to contribute manuscripts on all aspects of herbalism with an emphasis on the clinical, historical, and professional application of botanical medicines. We encourage herbalists of all persuasions to submit pieces for the journal, with the hope to especially elevating the voices of racialized, queer/trans/non-binary, and chronically ill/disabled herbalists globally. We accept manuscripts on a variety of topics, ranging from short pieces such as book reviews or case studies to longer peer-reviewed articles on therapeutics, materia medica, and ethnobotany. Check out the following submission guidelines for more information about accepted topics and word limits: www.americanherbalistsguild.com/sites/default/files/-jahg_author_guidelines_2016.pdf

The theme for the fall issue is Access & Care and, as such, we hope to inspire writing on topics related to harm reduction, accessibility, and health autonomy. That said, we will happily review any submission that meets the criteria outlined in our submission guidelines, including those that fall outside of our theme. We welcome submissions from both seasoned and new writers and are happy to provide support throughout the writing process.

Submissions may be sent to jahgeditor@americanherbalistsguild.com . We will be accepting submissions until July 18th, 2022 at 12 pm EST. Questions or concerns? Email us at jahgeditor@americanherbalistsguild.com. We look forward to your contribution to the Journal!
