The digital Winter 2025 issue of the Journal of the American Herbalists Guild (JAHG), Lifecycles: Science and Tradition in Pivotal Moments, explores how clinical herbalism supports the human journey across birth, growth, transition, aging, and end of life. Grounded in both evidence-based practice and traditional knowledge systems, this issue highlights the ways herbs support physical health, emotional resilience, spiritual wellbeing, and community care during life’s most meaningful thresholds.
Through clinical analysis, cultural reflection, community-based research, and personal narrative, contributors examine pivotal moments such as puberty, fertility, pregnancy, chronic illness, and dying, alongside broader perspectives on digestion, oral health, microbiome balance, and intergenerational healing practices.
