In this webinar we will consider the herbal energetics of Nervous Tension.  As herbalists we often engage the crucial topic of chronic stress from the point of view of the Endocrine system looking at the functioning of the HPA axis and the role of adaptogenic herbs. In this webinar we will expand our view to consider the constellation of symptoms that can accompany the sustained muscle and circulatory tension caused by chronic stress. Tension headaches, teeth grinding, compromised breathing, hypertension and a range of digestive issues will be discussed. We will explore the physiology of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system in health and in distress and unpack the herbal therapeutics that can offer relief. Along with herbs, the role of world-view, breathwork, meditation and gentle aware movement practices will be considered.
