Call for 2020 Presenter Proposals

Please read before you submit your proposal...

We are excited to announce the 2020 Online Symposium Experience for October 16-18, 2020. Though things are still in the early planning stage, we're excited about the many creative ways we can connect with the herb community using this format. And we look forward to gathering in person in Granby, Colorado, in 2021.

We welcome your proposal submission to present an online session over the weekend of October 16 to 18, 2020. The submission deadline has been extended until April 15, 2020.

Please keep in mind that all proposals must be suited for a webinar style format. We welcome all topics though presentations that promote our theme, Herbal Narratives and Case Histories and Virtual Plant walks that feature bioregional plants are also encouraged.

Not sure about presenting online? No worries! In the months ahead, we'll share tutorials and other support to familiarize you with the unique requirments of virtual presentations.

Thank you for the critical herbal support you are sharing with your families and communities!

Stay safe,

Bevin Clare & Patricia Kyritsi Howell

Submit Your Proposal

The theme of the 31st Annual AHG Symposium is Stories that Heal: Narrative Herbalism in Practice.

And we are offering a focused certificate track: Narrative in Practice: Case Studies in Clinical Herbalism. We are especially interested in proposals related to narrative and case studies in herbalism but welcome a wide range of other topics as well.

This year’s symposium will be live streamed October 15-19, 2020.

The success of our symposium depends on the contributions of our members, as well as others in the herbal community. We encourage both seasoned and first-time presenters to submit proposals. Preference is given first to AHG Registered Herbalists (RH), second to AHG members, and finally to non-members interested in presenting.

Please note that if you presented at the 2019 AHG Symposium, you are not eligible to submit a proposal this year. If you presented at our 2019 Symposium in Bethesda, you will be receiving information about a special discounted rate for accessing this year’s virtual symposium. Details will be emailed to all 2019 presenters before registration begins. And remember, the 2021 AHG Symposium is to be held in Granby, Colorado; anyone who presents at this year's virtual symposium will not be eligible to submit a proposal for 2021.

We look forward to including a range of creative and diverse topics in our program again this year. Please share your expertise by submitting a proposal!

We also invite you to check out our sponsorship opportunities. Click here for details.
