Call for 2019 Presenter Proposals

Submission Guidelines

Submit Your Proposal

Dear AHG Community,

The AHG Symposium Committee cordially invites you to submit proposals to present at the 30th Annual AHG Symposium. Our symposium theme this year is: From Plants to People: The Art & Science of Clinical Herbalism

This year, we are offering the following focused track: Clinical Assessment in Herbal Practice. We are especially interested in proposals related to how you use assessment in your herbal practice.

This year’s symposium is October 10-14, 2019, at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Bethesda, Maryland. The hotel is located approximately 30 miles from Washington D.C.

The success of our symposium depends on the contributions of our members, as well as others in the herbal community. We encourage both seasoned and first-time presenters to submit proposals. Preference is given first to AHG Registered Herbalists (RH), second to AHG members, and finally to non-members interested in presenting.

The deadline for submitting proposals is March 1st, 2019.

Please note that if you presented at the 2018 AHG Symposium, you are not eligible to submit a proposal this year. Exceptions may be made in the event you live within a 100 mile radius of the event venue or if you have extensive research or experience within the designated theme or special track. If you presented at our 2018 Symposium in Georgia, you will be receiving information about a special discounted rate for attending this year’s symposium: Details will be emailed to all 2018 presenters before registration begins.
We look forward to including a range of creative and diverse topics in our program again this year. Please share your expertise by submitting a proposal!
We also invite you to check out our sponsorship opportunities. Click here for details.
