Herbal Education Schools
ACORN School of Herbal Medicine
ACORN offers professional training in Clinical Herbalism, Nutrition, and the Vitalist Tradition of Nature Cure therapeutics. Our programs are rooted in the Physiomedicalist lineage, with a core curriculum developed by Paul Bergner, founder of the North American Institute of Medical Herbalism. School Director, Heather Luna, builds on this material by adding experiential learning opportunities, individualized guidance, and a case-based learning community. Heather’s decades of clinical experience allow her to synthesize the work of previous generations in vitalist therapeutics with the applied skills needed to cultivate healthy lifestyle habits in the modern age.
Our entry level Footprints program establishes a foundation in herbalism by teaching therapeutics for acute conditions, materia medica, and medicine making. Knowledge of materia medica is reinforced through tasting, journaling, and hands-on projects. Our Advanced program offers pre-clinical training by covering therapeutics for the treatment of chronic diseases, how to perform a complete client intake, maintain follow up visits, and analyze a case.
Our Clinical program provides real life experience through work in our Free Clinic under faculty supervision. Interns meet with clients, write up cases for peer review, perform follow up visits, track symptoms for recorded progress, and create transformative client protocols. The Roundtable format creates the ultimate experience for community learning in clinical practice.

Artemisia Academy
Artemisia Academy was formed from the dream that the healers journey could help other practitioners find their path and become HEALED healers, with healthy boundaries, clear expectations, and a strong emphasis that helping others should not come at our own bodies expense.
As a holistic practitioner, it is our job to become a model of self-care, and to teach from example rather than authority. Here, we work to learn how to heal ourselves FIRST, and let the overflow of healing have an osmosis affect on the lives around us.
As "Healed Healers", we are facilitators and teachers, rather than martyrs. Making sure that we pass this on as our primary lesson in everything we do, we hope to make ourselves and our students the model of healed healers to practice true sustainability to help heal the world!
