DESCRIPTION:Join Clinical herbalist and AHG Executive Director\,   Erika Galentin MNIMH RH   for an exploration of the meaning behind informed consent and disclosure and why this clinical form serves as the foundation of safety\, legality\, and transparency in your clinical practice. \nIn this workshop you will learn:\n\nThe purpose of an informed consent and disclosure form\, including how this form serves as a contract between you and your client which offers transparency and manages expectations about what to expect from working with you.\nElements of an informed consent and disclosure form including defining scope of practice\, assumption of risk clauses\, and conflicts of interest or accountability statements\nHow and in what ways to approach the laws of your state in order to understand and feel fully comfortable about communicating your scope of practice with clarity and transparency.\n\nThis workshop is for herbalists who are interested in bolstering both safety and clarity in clinical practice and who are interested in understanding the legal goalposts of the unlicensed practice of herbalism and how to communicate this scope of practice effectively when onboarding clients.\n\nTeacher Name: Erika Galentin\, MNIMH RH (AHG)\n\nTeacher Bio: Erika Galentin is the Clinical Herbalist\, Clinical Mentor\, and Lead Creatrix of Sovereignty Herbs and Executive Director of the American Herbalists Guild. She holds a degree in Herbal Medicine from the University of Wales\, Cardiff\, UK and Scottish School of Herbal Medicine\, Glasgow\, UK. She is a professional member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (UK) and the American Herbalists Guild (USA). Over 20 years of clinical practice has provided a platform for witnessing the efficacy of medicinal plants and aromatics within a clinical environment. Her home base and medicine gardens are located just outside of Athens\, OH\, in close proximity to United Plant Savers Botanical Sanctuary\, but she serves a national and international community with her renowned clinical herbalism practice and clinical and business mentorship programs.
