Dr. Steve Blake, ScD, is a developer of one of the largest worldwide databases of medicinal plants, The Herb Doctors, delivering herbal solutions from 54 regions worldwide. He is lead author of the Hawaii Dementia Prevention Trial (published in the Journal of Brain Sciences). He is Lead Advisor to the Macmillan Gale Encyclopedia of Alternative Medicine. He is credentialed to work in a hospital in China. He is author of Nutrients for Memory, Diabetes Breakthrough, Healing Medicine, Vitamins and Minerals Demystified, Alternative Remedies (Mosby), and the Diet Doctor software. Author of the Herbal Property Dictionary, Medical Plants of the World Encyclopedia 2018 (6634 pages), Medical Plants for Illnesses 2018 (4835 pages), Medicinal Plant Names, Constituents of Medicinal Plants, Autism: A Spectrum of Improvement, Mastering Migraines, and co-author of Mosby's Drug Guide for Nurses. He has software on Ayurvedic remedies, Chinese remedies, and aromatherapy. Dr. Blake has appeared on television, radio, and he lectures widely including Grand Rounds at major hospitals. He has developed many products, including Brain and Body Food. Dr. Steve Blake lives on an organic farm on Maui, where he grows medicinal plants, vegetables, and fruit.

Teresa Boardwine has been an herbalist for 30 years. Her school of Green Comfort’s goal is to offer a variety of educational opportunities for herbal studies. Green Comfort School of Herbal Medicine offers Foundations in Medicinal Herbalism based on the pathophysiologic systems and phytochemistry and actions of the plants. Herbal Apothecary offers a hands-on laboratory approach to creating products to empower the herbalist, mother, father and clinician to formulate for the individual not matter what condition one sees. The school also offers Clinical Training for the continuing education toward Registered Herbalist in the American Herbalist Guild.

I work with lifestyle, digestive and herbal practices of Ayurveda and western herbalism, as well as flower essences. My clinical work is especially focused on anxiety, stress, digestive, immune, thyroid health, abuse, and supporting people through the healing process.
I am the director of and teach herbal certification classes at the Northern California School of Botanical Studies.
