The American Herbalists Guild is pleased to present the 27th Annual Symposium: Connecting to Our Roots, to be held September 29 – October 3, 2016, at the Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Seven Springs, Pennsylvania. The 27th Annual Symposium hosts some of the world’s leading herbal educators delivering cutting edge presentations on a wide range of topics in herbal medicine.

The Annual Symposium features over 40 lectures, as well as pre and post-Symposium intensives, with sessions ranging from beginning to advanced. Here are some of the highlights of the 2016 event:
- Keynote Address from Phyllis Hogan
This year's keynote presenter is Phyllis Hogan, acclaimed herbalist of more than four decades, who will be presenting on Ethnobotanical Journeys in the Land of the Winter Sun. The keynote address will take place on Friday, September 30, at 8 PM.
- Infectious Disease Track
In 2016, the Annual Symposium offers a special track of diverse classes addressing infectious disease and herbal therapies. Participants who attend any four workshops in the infectious disease track as well as the post-Symposium intensive will earn a Certificate of Completion in Infectious Disease and Herbal Therapies Training.
- Pre-Symposium Intensives
Six half-day intensives will be taking place before the Symposium on Thursday, September 29. Topics include Chronic Lyme Disease and Co-Infections, Pediatric Herbalism, The Energetics of Herbs, and more. Register for one of the pre-Symposium intensives.
- Post-Symposium Intensive with Paul Bergner: Chronic Infections, Botanicals and Biofilms
The post-Symposium intensive with Paul Bergner is Chronic Infection, Botanicals, and Biofilms: An Advanced Review of Recent Science in Microbiology and Protocols for Common Infections. This in-depth seminar will take place on Monday, October 3, from 9 PM – 4 PM. Register for the post-Symposium intensive.
- Continuing Education
The American Herbalists Guild continues to award continuing education credits for classes taken at each year’s Annual Symposium. All classes are eligible for NCCAOM PDAs pending approval.
