Regional Scholarship Information

The AHG Committee for Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity works to recognize and honor diversity in the herbal community, both within and outside the organization.​ We are offering herbalists within the region an opportunity for a waiver of general registration costs in order to encourage more local and diverse herbalist involvement in our annual Symposium.

Help us increase our outreach to the local community by please spreading the word about regional scholarships among herbalists in your region.

How Do I Apply for a Regional Scholarship?

Please send us an email request at office@americanherbalistsguild.com if you are interested.

Please explain in 350 words or less why you are interested in attending the Symposium and why you are a good candidate for this scholarship. Please include anything about your background that you believe is relevant. Preference will be given to local applicants. The deadline for applications is July 15, 2017.

What Criteria Must I Meet in Order to Apply?

To apply you should:

  • Be an herbalist in some capacity, in any tradition, including being a student at any level of experience and skill
  • Live in the region where the symposium is being held
  • Have financial need
  • Have an interest in attending and participating in three days of herbal workshops, and be able to pay for and arrange your own transportation, meals, and lodging for the three days

What Does the Regional Scholarship Cover?

This waiver is for full registration cost, which includes all general workshops Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, as well as the General AHG meeting and lunch on Saturday, the annual poster session, and the party on Saturday evening.
