Clinical Skills with Paul Bergner, RH (AHG)

Part One: Intakes, Patterns, and Interventions

Live Dates: 7-9 pm EST, Tuesdays, July 25, August 1, 8, 15, 2017

With comprehensive information gathered in an extended interview, presenting symptoms in a patient can be seen as expressions of broader patterns in diet, activity, lifestyle, and social behaviors of a patient. When the pattern is ascertained, appropriate interventions become clear, and removal of root causes and cultivation of a health-sustaining lifestyle become possible. In this Webinar, we will discuss the information required for a Comprehensive Intake, Interview Skills, and Pattern recognition in a vitalist ecological paradigm. We will then describe 25 patterns commonly seen in the modern clinic, and suggest general strategies and specific interventions with behavioral changes, diet, nutrition, supported by medicinal herbs.

Live Dates: 7-9 pm EST, Tuesdays, November 14, 28, December 5, 12, 2017

The key to flexible and patient-specific formulation is the study and understanding of herbal pairs and triplets. These synergistic combinations may make effective interventions on their own, or may become modular components of more complex formulas. In this Webinar series we will describe a template for materia medica assessment that leads to effective herbal pairing, offer a set of principles for combining 2-3 herbs, with examples, then offer a set of 40 or more practical herbal pairs and triplets developed over the more than 40 years of experience of the presenter.
